One thing I have noticed over and over during the years is that some astrologers are constantly shouting “DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM” whenever a difficult transit appears.
Moon opposite Mars? Jupiter square Mercury? DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
I’m not making light of difficulties. They are real and they can be really painful when the transit is to a personal planet in a touchy part of your own chart.
But every sign, every house, every planet in your chart has both a positive and a negative side. An opposition between Mars (power) and Mercury (communication), for instance, could indicate that you are going to give a remarkably effective presentation to your client, or it could mean that your boss yells at you because he’s in a bad mood.
The main thing to remember is this:
The transit doesn’t control you. How you respond to its challenges will define your future.
The boss yells at you? Could you say something like “I’m sorry, something must really be upsetting you. Is there anything I can do to help?” Don’t take it personally, don’t get angry in return, if the problem isn’t of your making. (And if it is, if you made a mistake or failed to complete a task, then acknowledge that, apologize, and make the situation right.)
This weekend we have the potential for some difficulties. Look where Libra, Aries, and Capricorn fall in your chart for an idea of the area of your life where pressure may be cropping up. Family? Career? Group issues?
How can you take action to work with the weekend’s transits? You might be aware of the potential for unexpected (Uranus) feelings (Moon) from a teenager (fourth house = family), or transforming (Pluto) words (Mercury) from your pastor on Sunday (ninth house = religion and spirituality).
No pressure, no diamonds.
Go shine.
